It’s been a minute since I’ve made an appearance on here.
It's New Year's Eve, as I'd forgotten and then realized a couple times today.
For the occasion, I wanted to pop on here and say thank you!
This year was something. A blend of the positive and not so positive. As every year is, I think. I express things more through photos than words usually so making my end of year recap was much smoother on Instagram (feel free to head over there if this is not cutting it) but I'll try to get something out here.
There were so many incredible things that I got to experience this year. And some things that I didn't accomplish for one reason or another. Which is ok! 2019, I'm lookin at you.
This year, I performed in some amazing projects, graduated from college with a group of people I am exceptionally thankful for, got a new (and, in my opinion, super cool job), traveled, made new friends, strengthened relationships with old friends, spent time with family, laughed, cried, laughed until I cried, and learned a lot about self love.
This year, I think I truly developed a greater appreciation, not only for life, but for myself. Growing up, going through college, you can go through a lot of phases of yourself. I'm sure I have plenty more phases ahead but this year, and really within the past couple months, I started looking at myself a little differently. I'm proud. I'm grateful. I love myself. It's taken me a while to truly believe it. I'm sure I've said it in the past, but I'm really starting to feel it. I'm able to say it now because of me, sure, but because of people around me too. Even the people who didn't treat me very well. Handling the negative, made me realize that I have a lot more worth than I give myself credit for sometimes. I think we all have more worth than we give ourselves credit for.
For 2019, I hope for a lot of things, but most of all, I hope we give more love to each other, and, really, more love to ourselves. It all starts with your personal self. I'm excited to continue loving myself and loving myself even more than now. I want to extend that love to more people. I want to thank those who extended it to me. Past, present, future.
Happy New Year, everyone. I hope it's full of love.
